Mainland UK Carriage Options

All our carriage services are subsidised and actually cost us more than we charge you

Next Business Day

An absolute must if your order is at all time sensitive! Orders received before midday Monday to Thursday will be delivered the following day.  Orders placed after midday will be despatched the following working day and received the day after.

Delivery cannot be made at weekends and bank holidays.  Orders placed on a Friday before midday will be delivered on the next working day (usually Monday).  Orders placed Friday after midday, or at any time during a weekend, bank holiday, other holiday period, or after midday on a working day that is followed by a holiday, will be despatched the following working day and delivered the day after.

This option is available to most mainland UK addresses.  ‘Next Business Day’ packages will need to be signed for on delivery.

Regular Service

For customers who require a little extra haste for their order and do not want to rely on Royal Mail Standard Packet Post.  Orders under this service will be sent by Royal Mail 1st Class or better, (under this service an order may be sent using a carrier at our discretion).  Average delivery time is 2-3 working days.

Economy Service

With Gaugemaster.com, for most of the UK, you can always pay nothing for carriage!  Click here for full terms & conditions.  Sent by Royal Mail Standard Packets or better. Average delivery time is 4-5 working days although Royal Mail advise that 10 working days should be allowed.

Overseas Carriage Options

We have developed a system whereby we can calculate the export shipping charge accurately on the website andthis has now been implimented. The system uses the product weight and destination to determine the air freight service that is most economical. The shipping price will show before you complete checkout. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any queries or if you discover a problem with this feature.

We are happy to ship an order anywhere in the world.  Orders for shipping outside of the UK are charged carriage at cost, according to the weight and value of the goods ordered.

Where possible we will use Royal Mail International Signed For Service, which will require a signature on delivery, but brings extra security throughout.  For some very low value orders we may use a standard airmail service where a signature service is not economical.  All Royal Mail packages are sent Priority (Airmail), unless it is uneconomical to do so, for example a heavy package of low value items such as catalogues.

For larger orders that are not able to be sent using Royal Mail services, we use UPS international courier services.  These also require a signature on delivery.

We will select the service that is most suitable for the goods ordered, and the most economical where possible, without compromising on the need for security so that the goods reach you complete and in good condition.  However, we cannot guarantee delivery dates on any overseas orders due to potential delays outside our control, such as delays with international flights, customs or with domestic postal services in your country.
