The Flying Scotsman No.4472 is one of the most iconic British locomotives ever produced. It was built in the 1920's and in its life time it was the first locomotive to travel at 100mph. A great achievement for a steam locomotive in the 1930's. It can now been seen at the National Railway Museum in York.
