7008-8 DD51 500 Mid-term cold resistant (three-lamp type) Speaking of diesel locomotives that represent Japan, it is DD51 of JNR. It appeared in 1972 (1962), and 649 cars were mass-produced over 17 years thereafter. As you can see from this fact, as a diesel locomotive suitable for Japanese railways, from the non-electrified line area trunk line to the sub-bullet line, it has been very active regardless of passenger or freight trains. Since it has been produced for a long time, it can be divided into three types, broadly divided into early-to-mid-term and late-stage, and among them, the group called mid-term is mainly modernizing the power of 500 series double tandem. In order to replace the steam locomotive called smokeless, it was increased a lot. Especially in Hokkaido where many steam locomotives were active even in the trunk line, many DD51s were introduced, and the steam locomotive will be completely abolished in December 1975 (1975). Not to mention the C62-free "Niseko" and "Large Snow" and other express coaches in the road, as well as towing from local passengers to trunk freight trains. Hokkaido's distinctive style with the radiator cover removed and the "three-lamps" of the Goryokaku engine district where auxiliary lights were added to the bonnet tip to secure visibility during snowfall gained popularity, and later the 745 was transferred to Niigata. It became popular with the Yuetsu West Line. Main features ? A new bonnet is produced by reproducing the style often seen in Hokkaido, with the radiator cover on the front of the bonnet removed. ? The roof of the cab is also newly reproduced with a roof with SG chimney and a whistle cover without a fan cover that characterizes the 500s. ? A new variation reproduces the "three-lamp type" in which the supplementary headlights are added to the top of the bonnet tip to improve prospects when snow falls. All three lights as well as a real car. ? The windshield glass of the cab is equipped with a standard turning window. Furthermore, "three-lamp type" reproduces the figure of the extremely cold area equipment unique to the machine belonging to the Goryokaku engine area of ??the Tsurara cut equipment. ? Reproduce the tablet protector equipped on the SG room glass and crew door on the side of the cab. ? The license plate is optional. In the mid-term cold-resistant type, we selected 675, 681, 702, 718, with a focus on the aircraft belonging to the Otaru Tsuki Port engine area. ? For the number plate of the “three-light” aircraft, selected 710, 741, 742, and 745 of the auxiliary front light equipped aircraft belonging to the Goryokaku Station. ? Arnold coupler standard equipment. Replacement KATO knuckle coupler is included. ? A stable flywheel and powerful traction unit with a proven flywheel-mounted power unit.
