5220 Mani 60
During the Showa era, railway luggage transportation was carried out with luggage cars connected to passenger trains, but as the volume of transportation increased, dedicated luggage trains became operational, and Tokaido Sanyo Main Line and Express baggage trains were also operated on trunk lines such as the Tohoku Main Line.
KATO will commercialize the Tokaido and Sanyosuji postal and luggage trains so that various baggage carriages can be reproduced in succession.
Main features
? A set of six-car trains suitable for reproducing trunk baggage trains, consisting of luggage-dedicated passenger cars with various histories. In addition, two additional models, Mani 37 and Mani 60, were launched separately for additional use.
? Mani 60 selected a modified car from Ohani 61, which is the same as the Niseko set, as a prototype. The body color is brown.
? Mani 36 selected a modified car from Throne 30, the same as the “Tsugaru” set, as a prototype. The body color is brown.
? Suni 41 reproduces the form without the wife face penetration door. The car number is Suni 41-5. Body color is blue / silver.
? For the Soni 40, select the Soni 40-8 with the car number difference of the single item (8005). Body color is blue / silver.
? Oyu 12 selected Oyu 12-34 with the car number difference of single item (5059-2). Body color is blue.
? Both ends of the set (Sni 41, Mani 36) and single item vehicles have taillights lit (only one side), with extinguishing switch.
? All vehicles are equipped with Arnold coupler as standard. Two sets of replacement knuckle couplers are included.
? The package is a 6-car set with a bookcase (6-car + locomotive).
? The Mani 37, a single item, has a modified car from Throat 60 as a prototype, and selected Oku's affiliated 2017. Body color is blue.
? The Mani 60, a single item, uses the modified car from Ohani 61 as a prototype, and selects the Sumida River affiliated 2653. The body color is brown.
? The single item Suyu 44 is a pallet cargo handling compatible mail car that appeared in Showa 46 (1971) and is a privately owned passenger car owned by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications. Only the roof and the end face are blue, and 24 pallets can be stored in the aluminum press body. With the abolition of railway postal transport in 1986, all vehicles were scrapped the following year.
